The pump is designed to sense when drainage water is present, so it is a energy efficient solution in a very high humidity environment where other pumps would run full time. The design also allows the Maxi Blue to be mounted at any orientation and it does not vibrate at all so it is exceptionally quiet. This makes it perfect for installations in offices or any other areas where low noise levels are important. The Blue Diamond patented DrainStik is a slim line probe, which houses the water sensors and high level alarm; it can be directly mounted into the drain tube.
