I bought this air cooler because I was fed up with sitting in front of a pedestal fan and still being at boiling point all day unable to operate properly, I suffer from an auto immune problem and keeping cool is very important to me, in my younger years, when I was more able, I used to carry a backpack filled with freezer blocks and frozen water bottles everywhere I went, it was either that or I would overheat and get ill, these days I live a far more sedentary life but still need to be cooler than most people reading this, somehow keeping chilled keeps my pains at bay and before I bought this machine I had a freezer full of frozen towels, I don't have to bother with that now, when I first got this honeywell machine I put everything on high and was freezing cold in less than half an hour, I had to put a cardigan on I was so cold, when needed now it stays on low, I set the turn control on to spread the blow, timer for an hour and the ioniser and it is more than adequate to blow a cool breeze wherever you put it + its very cheap to run using less electricity than my fan (I checked it on my smart metre), filling it and emptying it is easy, although I have to say the water metre reads empty when it has 5 litres left inside, this is my only quibble with this machine and even that isn't really a problem as it easy to wheel it into the garden and empty it and the garden always needs it.

To sum up, if you want to be cool, other than installing a complete air conditioning system throughout your house, I don't think you'll find a better machine to do it in a domestic situation than this one.
