The flat design and designer looks make the RAK Shirokuma systems unique. It comes with low blowing air flow system for better distribution of air and Hitachi air conditioning's designer Shirokuma "cut out" range are highly economical and environmentally friendly.
The Hitachi air conditioning RAK Shirokuma wall mounted range are highly economical and environmentally friendly. Using the latest compressor and inverter technology keeps power consumption to a minimal, but at the same time providing powerful cooling and heating. All Hitachi’s air conditioning units offer high seasonal efficiencies, with models in the Shirokuma range achieving high seasonal performance SCOP A++ 4.7 and SEER A+++ 8.5. The compact dimensions of the Shirokuma model (295 x 900 x 210) are common across the entire range and allow for easier integration.
Enhanced inverter performance and system performance are achieved by the addition of a ‘Direct Current’ drive compressor, resulting in up to 10% more efficient than standard 'AC' (Alternating Current) Systems. The variable speed compressor (inverter) enables the system to rapidly reach the desired room temperature setting. Once the desired room temperature has been achieved the compressor rotation peed is reduced, saving up to 30% in energy usage (when compared to standard fixed speed systems).
A bigger flap on the Shirokuma indoor unit delivers air quickly to every corner of the room and the powerful, sweeping air flow eliminates dead zones and improves the cooling and heating effect. The trapezoidal fan blades cut the air diagonally to minimise air resistance and the conical blade fan ensures a high airflow. With this diagonal air blow, less friction is caused, which reduces noise and improves efficiency. The fan diameter has been increased from the conventional 90mm to 100mm. Includes deodorising and anti-bacterial Wasabi filters as standard and "Stainless clean", the components in the indoor unit (including filter) are stainless steel for greater air purity. A energy saving sensor adjusts the unit operation as room occupancy changes to achieve extra energy savings.
Volt Free control of the air conditioning system option, used to turn the unit on/off remotely after receiving a signal such as key-card, door or window switch, specifically useful in hotel rooms to prevent unnecessary use. Accessory SPX WDC3 is required.

Please note if you do not select our installation service we will not ship the unit until we have obtained evidence from you that you will have the unit installed by an F-Gas qualified engineer. This is a requirement of the Article 11 (5) EC/517/2014 on fluorinated greenhouse gases and The Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations 2015.
