The Chesterford is a classically designed stove providing a traditional sense of style to a modern or period home with real flames offering a warm ambiance to your room. An Eco-design ready stove is a commitment made by the Stove Industry Alliance (SIA) to design stoves that are clean, efficient and contribute to improving the environment through lower emissions. This durable cast iron stove is finished with a black, heat resistant paint. It has air control for altering the burn rate / heat output and has a simple to use pull handle system that moves the riddling grate to push soot and dirt into the ash pan for easier cleaning. The air wash system helps to keep the inside of the glass clean so you can benefit from the full flame effect. Complies with the BS/EN13240 and CE latest standards. If you intend to use this appliance on a barge or boat it must be installed in accordance with BS 8511:2010- consult your qualified installer.

Please use a flexible flue liner with a diameter of 5" if required.

It is recommended that a carbon monoxide detector is installed in accordance with BS EN 50292:2002

What size stove do I need to heat my room?

To achieve a relaxing room temperature of around 21ºC when the external air temperature is at freezing (0ºC) you will need approximately 1 kW of heat output for every 14 cubic meters of space. Measure the length, width and height of your room and multiply the three figures together. For example, a room measuring 7 m long by 4 m wide and with a height of 2.5 m is 70 m3 of space. Divide by the sum by 14 and this means you will require a 5 kW stove. However, this is just a rough guide; factors such as the number of outside walls, the size of windows and whether they are double glazed, the age of the home, etc., can all influence the heat requirement.
