This compact and stylish wood burning stove brings warmth and ambience to any room. With a heat output of 5kW and 79.8% energy efficient it is economical and ideal for heating smaller rooms where space may be at a premium. Manufactured from durable cast iron whilst retaining a modern but elegant style the Barrel II is built to last and complies with BS EN 13240 and the latest CE standards. It is finished with black, hardwearing heat resistant paint for protection. The Barrel III is easy to use and requires little maintenance, so you get all the benefits of a consistent, reliable heat source with minimum fuss. It features ergonomic handles located on the main and ash pan door for easy access. A large precision control located on the front of the stove provides easy adjustment of the burn rate. Top quality, heat resistant glass is fitted to the front of the door with a air wash system helping to keep the glass clean in order to ensure the full flame effect is maximised at all times.

What size stove do I need to heat my room?

To achieve a relaxing room temperature of around 21ºC when the external air temperature is at freezing (0ºC) you will need approximately 1 kW of heat output for every 14 cubic meters of space. Measure the length, width and height of your room and multiply the three figures together. For example, a room measuring 7 m long by 4 m wide and with a height of 2.5 m is 70 m3 of space. Divide by the sum by 14 and this means you will require a 5 kW stove. However, this is just a rough guide; factors such as the number of outside walls, the size of windows and whether they are double glazed, the age of the home, etc., can all influence the heat requirement.
