The VN Series is available in nine models, ranging from compact 150 m³/h units through to powerful 2000 m³/h systems suitable for large commercial spaces. Designed for Improved Efficiency and Indoor Comfort:
Toshiba’s Air-to-Air Heat Exchangers work by capturing waste heat from outgoing air and transferring it to the incoming fresh air stream. The result is a dramatic reduction in the workload placed on air-conditioning or heating equipment. In winter, incoming air is pre-heated using recovered heat; in summer, incoming air is partially cooled. This technology can reduce overall HVAC energy consumption and qualify as an energy-efficiency improvement in commercial building projects.
All Toshiba VN units operate on R32-compatible system control logic, allowing seamless integration into Toshiba’s wider light commercial range. They also include expanded operating temperature parameters, ensuring year-round performance even in demanding ambient conditions (from –20°C outdoor up to +50°C depending on model).
The VN Series uses a new DC fan motor to optimise volume control, static pressure and airflow efficiency. The redesigned chassis provides enhanced airflow pathways, improved internal insulation and low-noise operation, making it suitable for quiet environments such as schools, libraries or meeting rooms.
Another standout feature is the option to integrate a CO₂/PM air quality sensor, enabling ventilation rates to automatically increase when indoor air quality falls below target levels. Indoor air quality data can be displayed on Toshiba’s wired controllers (RBC-AMSU52-E or RBC-AWSU52-E), offering facilities managers clearer insights into air performance and occupant comfort.

Thanks to airflow options from 150 m³/h to 2000 m³/h, the VN Series is highly adaptable across a wide range of building types. Smaller models such as the U00151SY-E are ideal for private apartments, small offices, meeting rooms and domestic ventilation refits. Intermediate units like the U00351SY-E and U00651SY-E suit medium-sized offices, retail spaces, classrooms and consulting rooms. The high-capacity models, U01001SY-E, U01501SY-E and U02001SY-E, are designed for large commercial settings, including gyms, cinemas, hospitality buildings, student accommodation blocks and multi-zone office environments.
The VN Series is equally suitable for new-build projects or the refurbishment market. Toshiba’s design allows for easy installation into ceiling voids with multiple duct connection configurations, including 200 mm, 150 mm and 250 mm duct inlets depending on the model.
