Blended Ethanediol Ethylene Glycol Coolblend-TX Heat Transfer Fluid Non-returnable Drum 25 Litre Coolblend-TX Heat Transfer Fluid Non-returnable Drum 25 Litre, glycol based heat transfer fluid for refrigeration, air conditioning, fire extinguishing system circuits and under-floor heating/cooling circuits.

Provides excellent protection against freezing and gives enhanced protection against the corrosion of metals in various circuits of different designs (steel, aluminium, copper, brass, solder, etc.). It also prevents sludge from forming inside the circuits.

Key Product Features:

  • Specific Heat Capacity – A higher specific heat capacity means that a higher heat energy load can be absorbed by the fluid per unit mass per unit temperature rise. Contributes to the overall heat transfer properties of the fluid.
  • Viscosity – A higher viscosity fluid will require more energy to move along a pipe of fixed diameter than a fluid with low viscosity. This impacts on the hydraulic performance of the fluid. Thermablend has low viscosity.
  • Thermal Conductivity – The higher this number, the more capable the fluid is of conducting heat .  Thermal conductivity contributes to the heat transfer properties of the fluid.
  • Prandtl number – This number reflects the overall heat transfer efficiency of the fluid. The lower this number, the more efficient the fluid. Thermablend scores very well here.
  • Inhibitor package – Inhibitors must remain stable and active for as long as possible throughout the expected operating temperature range. They prevent corrosion of the materials through which the fluid flows. Inhibitors should meet or exceed the ASTM D-1384 standard.
  • Biocide – Prevents growth of bacteria in the fluid which can seriously impact performance of the fluid, and must have thermal stability at the operating temperatures required.
  • Safety – Fluids should be biodegradable, and low hazard. Thermablend MPG and TX are low hazard due to the blend of chemicals used, and further safety against ingestion by animals and children is assured by the addition of “Bitrex”
