Back draught shutters are a one way valve for air conditioning ducts. The back draught shutter has aluminium vane which open when air is flowing and close when air tries to flow in the wrong direction. When there isn't any air flowing the vane is maintained in a closed vertical position using a spring. The back draught shutter is supplied with a double EPDM rubber gasket.
