The Gemini 5 is another world’s first from sE – using the same capsule as the industry standard Gemini II, the G5 is a mic with a difference, just like its big brother. Unlike the Gemini II the G5 has only one tube, however this can be switched out completely to a Solid State only mode via the brushed Aluminium PSU, making the G5 operable as either a high end Tube condenser, or a superb FET mic – effectively 2 great mics for the price of one. The chassis styling is scaled down form the original Gemini II, and the mic comes with a stylish shock mount and flight case. Its not only unique though, its two of the best sounding mics on the market in one! 

Designed by a team of extremely experienced engineers and verified by extensive listening tests, each Gemini 5 Microphone utilises gold sputtered, ultra-light mylar diaphragms in an advanced capsule design. The Gemini 5 Microphone is constructed using the finest quality Japanese electronic components and extensively tested to provide you with years of trouble-free operation. Every Gemini 5 Microphone comes with an individual frequency response plot. The Gemini 5 tube microphone use traditional, high voltage tube circuitry to ensure the true vintage tube sound. This is in contrast to many cost saving tube designs where the tube is run at a very low operating voltage so as to introduce deliberate distortion which their designers hope to pass off as warmth. Whereas most vintage mic tubes are hard to find and extremely expensive, The Gemini 5 Microphone uses commonly available high performance tubes that are specially selected and matched for low noise operation.
