Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has made a giant leap forward in air conditioning and heat pump technology, with the development of high performance FD Multi Systems. These systems allow twin/triple/quad indoor units to be installed and connected to one outdoor unit. This provides a saving compared to the installation cost of several standard split systems.

The new FDA Multi Systems are ideal for open plan areas. It is not advisable to install the connected indoor units in different rooms. Systems are supplied with the relevant branch pipe kits, and one controller per system.

7-Day Programmable Timer - now included in standard controls specification. The CoP (Coefficient of Performance) has been dramatically increased, up to 3.67 on some models. This means the system can deliver 3.67kW of heating, whilst consuming only 1.0kW of electrical power. This has been achieved by combining advanced Mitsubishi technology with R410A.

Cost effective solution for cooling and heating applications:

MIX-MATCH It is possible to have cassette units matched with wall, ceiling or ducted indoor units, as required.
Indoor unit capacity indexes must be as those listed on opposite page. SIMPLE CONTROL All units on one
system are connected to one controller, and will all operate in the same mode, i.e. cooling / fan only / heating.

The cooling and heating data is based on all connected units operational at the same time at full load. In practice the load in each room is unlikely to be at 100% continuously, so the available spare capacity is then shared to other units accordingly.
